Overview

Independent Strategy Advice

I'm James Eteen, independent strategy consultant and founder of Alexander Partners. I support company owners and senior leaders in setting direction and achieving competitive advantage.

In nearly three decades as a consultant and board advisor, I've helped clients access new markets, acquire disruptive innovators, turn around distressed assets and improve commercial performance.

As an external advisor, I'm able to provide owners and managers with a objective view of business performance. This is essential in establishing future goals and priorities. "Outside-in" challenge is essential in bringing clarity, highlighting market realities and helping clients decide on what should - and crucially - what should not be done. A true prioritisation of resources should result in some company stakeholders having their initiatives funded, and some not.

A proactive and experienced consultant, I strive to challenge the status quo, provoke discussion and facilitate decision-making on how to best re-allocate resources to fulfil your goals as a CEO or owner. The best way to contact me is through LinkedIn here.

Working together

Working Together

A typical first engagement for new clients is a business strategy review. The the most effective reviews will tackle major business issues through a series of workshop sessions. Alternatively, I can get to know you through training or skills development for a newly appointed executives. This can be for business owners, CEOs, or those in strategic leadership roles.

I bring a combination of creativity and pragmatic analysis, leading problem-solving sessions that help clients drive to a successful conclusion.  In many cases I have continued to serve as a board advisor and/or to provide executive coaching through a period of transformational change.

The best way to contact me to arrange an introduction is through LinkedIn messaging. Once we've discussed your needs fully, in confidence, we can then assess the potential for a mutually beneficial working relationship.
